Who is Steven?
Steven Ngo is a technology lawyer, adjunct professor and speaker. After graduating from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC, he practiced at some of the most prestigious law firms in Canada and around the world. During his time in private practice, he served on hiring committees, gaining rare insight into how recruitment decisions are actually made behind the scenes.
Throughout his career, Steven has received some of the profession’s top honours. He was named one of Canada’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers, recognized as NAPABA’s Best Under 40, and awarded the Medal of Good Citizenship, one of British Columbia's highest distinctions for public service.
He continues to give back to the community. He served as President for the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers BC, President of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers Western and as a board member of National Asian Pacific American Bar Association.
As the first in his family to attend law school, Steven understands what it’s like to navigate unfamiliar systems without a roadmap. He remembers feeling completely lost as a law student and trying to piece everything together on his own.
His personal mission is simple: serve the person he once was and guide others who are walking that same path.
