Who is Steven?
Steven is an award-winning lawyer, educator, and speaker.
After graduating from the Peter A. Allard School of Law, he practiced at some of the most prestigious law firms in Canada and around the world.
During his time in private practice, he served on hiring committees, gaining insight into how decisions are made behind the scenes.
Through his career, Steven received some of the legal profession’s top honours. He was named one of Canada’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers, recognized as Best Under 40 by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and awarded the BC Medal of Good Citizenship, one of British Columbia's highest distinctions for public service.
As the first in his family to attend law school, Steven understands what it’s like to navigate unfamiliar systems. He remembers feeling completely lost as a law student during the recruitment process and trying to piece everything together on his own.
His personal mission is to serve the person he once was.

Interview coaching will dive deep into public speaking, communication, and storytelling strategies. During our time together, my goal is to help you communicate your story succinctly and clearly. This is much different from general mentorship.
During our time together, we’ll craft your interview response, but repeat it over and over again until you’ve nailed it. The purpose is not for you to memorize word for word but for you to communicate in a way that’s authentic to you and impactful to the listener as well.
Having studied stand-up comedy, improv theatre and public speaking, we’ll incorporate well-known principles from those fields into interview coaching.
