A workshop to provide law students with the skills and strategies to thrive during interviews
About this Event
You’ve spent countless hours refining your resume, scheduling coffees with lawyers, and attending networking events; all in hopes of securing a summer position with your law firm of choice.
As you enter into the next stage of the recruitment process, you’re probably experiencing feelings of excitement, nervousness, and ultimately anxiety. The purpose of this workshop is to provide students with the skills and strategies to thrive beyond anxiety surrounding the interview process.
This event is hosted in collaboration with Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson University).
Presenters:
Steven Ngo works as counsel for a California-based electric vehicle company, was previously on the student recruitment committee for Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP and worked at Linklaters LLP in Asia. He has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers by Canadian Lawyer Magazine and is a recipient of the BC Medal of Good Citizenship, one of the highest honours bestowed to British Columbian residents.
During his experience mentoring students, he is well aware of the challenges faced by his mentees, including the anxiety surrounding law firm recruitment and wants to use Beyond the A as a platform to make an impact on a grander scale.
