Thriving Beyond Anxiety in Calgary

It is official. After months of preparation, Beyond the A has finally launched.

Thanks to Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP for being our founding sponsor for this monumental event in Calgary. Anxiety is something that is so prominent in the legal profession, but is often swept under the rug. To have a firm of such calibre put their weight behind us is truly an honour as it shows that they care about the well-being of their students and lawyers.

Our inaugural event took place at the University of Calgary in a packed room with over 60 students in attendance. Thanks to Joshua for moderating the session and for guiding our panelists through a series of questions about their journey in the legal profession, their personal stories of anxiety and how they were able to manage their own anxiety to get to where they are today.

Last, thanks to our panelists for their openness and their inspiration stories. These are stories that many of the students will remember as they embark on their legal careers. And if we can change just one life, our mission at Beyond the A is complete.

At Beyond the A, we understand that anxiety and mental health is a serious issue. While we do not purport to be experts, our mission is to open up the conversation and provide you with the tools and resources to excel in your career and beyond. If you are seeking immediate help, please contact a healthcare professional or access our resources page.

Given the sensitivity of the topic, we are always open to further conversation about it.  Email us at info@beyondthea.co and someone from our team will get back to you.
